Budget Committee

The Budget Committee meets to review and make recommendations upon the annual appropriation proposals of the Board of Selectmen, Fire Department, other town officials and boards, and funding requests from service organizations.

The Committee balances the needs of town functions with the burden on taxpayers and vets the arguments ahead of town meeting so that more informed decisions may be made.  

This is a seasonal duty. There are typically 1 or 2 meetings in January.  

If you are skilled in budgeting and interested in serving in 2017, please contact the town office or one of the selectmen by December 1, 2016.
